The Guernsey Association of Pension Providers publishes occasional news and press releases with important updates for the pension industry. GAPP is an association of pension providers, pension trustees and others with an interest in pensions established to foster and promote pension arrangements in Guernsey. 

Guernsey Pension Provision Fundamentals

This new course for those starting out in the pensions industry will provide a basic understanding of how pension schemes work and an overview of the different types of pension arrangements administered in Guernsey. The course will be run on 19 January 2019 - FULL. A second course (in two parts) has been arranged for 5 and 12 MARCH commencing at 9am.

Amendment of the pension provisions in Guernsey's Income Tax Law

The Guernsey Association of Pension Providers (GAPP) welcomes the publication of proposals by Guernsey's Treasury and Resources Department (T&R) to amend the pension provisions in Guernsey's Income Tax Law to enable Pan Island occupational pension schemes to receive transfer payments from UK registered pension schemes.

New DTAs between Guernsey, Jersey and the Isle of Man

The Guernsey Association of Pension Providers (GAPP) welcomes today's announcement that the governments of Guernsey, Jersey and the Isle of Man have signed Double Taxation Agreements between each of the three Islands.

QROPS Clarifications

The Guernsey Association of Pension Providers (GAPP) welcomes the clarifications set out in the Guernsey Income Tax office Media Release dated 30th May 2012 and is grateful for the continuing efforts of the Director of Income Tax and his senior team in their ongoing discussions with Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC) in relation to the status of Qualifying Recognised Overseas Pension Schemes (QROPS) established in Guernsey.
